For over thirty years, the Bamako Encounters have supported photographers who tell, question, and transform the narratives of the African continent. Organized by Mali’s Ministry of Crafts, Culture, Hotel Industry, and Tourism under the authority of Minister Mamou Daffé, the 15th edition—titled REFABULATION(S)—is curated by Armelle Dakouo and led by General Delegate El Hadj Amadou Diop. It will take place from November 26, 2026, to January 26, 2027, in Bamako, Mali.
